Now that my online store is up and running, I’m taking some time to focus on other areas of my art business - one of those being photography. Over the last several years, the photography side of my business has mainly been advertised by word of mouth. And that’s worked for me!
It has given me the opportunity to be part of important moments for friends and family alike, whether capturing the beginning of a new family or new additions to already established families! Each month this year, I want to take a moment to look back at some of my favorite photos from the vault, while also looking forward to new photography adventures throughout the year!
One of the first couples to trust me with capturing exciting moments in their lives was Hali and Nate. They reached out about an engagement photo session and were patient with me as we drove all around the county finding good backgrounds. I don’t think I’ve had such an adventurous photo shoot since (but I have driven further for a few).
They must have been happy with the results, because they also invited me to be part of their wedding day, capturing everything from the details to the ceremony to candid moments. Because it was my first wedding shoot, I asked a fellow photographer, Jimmy Schwartz, to tag along as my second so that we wouldn’t miss anything. It turned out to be a beautiful day - and I discovered I love taking detail shots!
If you or someone you know has a small wedding coming up in 2024-2025, feel free to reach out for an estimate for engagement or wedding photos by emailing nickoleanddymes@gmail.com with the subject “Photography Estimate - (Your Name)” and include the wedding date if known. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
